following the recommendation of a sports colleague who is very satisfied with your Tokyowheel wheels, I have also placed an order of the EPIC 60 with the order number: "Order R9351382".
Yesterday I mounted my new EPIC 60 carbon wheels. Unfortunately, when inflating the tubeless tires "Continental Grand Prix 5000 S - 25-622" with approx. 6 bar, the carbon rim burst.
However this was necessary in order for the tire to jump into the rim hooks☹.
The wheels are new and have been ridden 0 km.
Please find attached pictures of the wheels. All this is very annoying and unsatisfying…..
I kindly ask you to replace the defective carbon wheels (front and rear) with new EPIC 60 carbon wheels and additionally send me a return label for the defective wheels.
I will give you 5 business days to get back to me, otherwise I will collect the money paid via Pay Pal with buyer protection.

The wheels look very solid and I had a pretty good feeling while driving. However, I have a few remarks. The "epic" decals on the wheels weren't stuck on very well, so I had to squeeze out the air bubbles. Also the "quick release" for the rear wheel is too long, the thread protrudes quite a bit from the nut. It wouldn't even be a problem if the thread on the axle wasn't too short, so the wheel couldn't be clamped. When I fully tighten the nut, there is a gap between the nut and the frame of the bike.

I have still not received Epic 60-88 - Carbon Clincher - Wheelset. The parcel is blocked by the French customs for " false declaration of value ". I have to pay a fine of 110 € (148. 591 USD) and 238 € (321.488 USD) of VAT + customs charges + set-up fees. I have no money to pay (I had saved to buy some wheels). So would you be willing to pay my expenses, that is 348 € (470 USD) . Looking forward to a favorable answer from you.

Epic Carbon clincher wheelset - The quality is mad but didn't come with the axle nut. The valve extender seem doesnt work probably and inconvenient when I wanna replace the tube. Overall, this is a sick wheel set. Will definitely buy another set soon.

3 Month Feedback - I have been riding pretty hard on these wheels and they are tremendous. I'm riding on Conti Gatorskins, 23's, and the smooth and extended rolling force of the wheels puts a smile on my face every time I get up a hill or speed down one. Plus, it never fails to turn a few heads even for the uninitiated. Excellent wheels and I've recommended them to ALL the folks I ride with. Hopefully, I've been able to spread the good word. These wheels are awesome! - Had it for a week now. Very impressed of the performance. My rolling speed increase by 25%. Braking is superb. Very stable making my ride more secure. Not too flashy but still delivers the cool factor. DT swiss hubs looks great. Not mention the personalized customer service fron James.... You don't get this somewhere else. Bought the 60s and went all the to sapim spokes and DT swiss hubs. Nothing to say bad about tokyowheels. Delivered as promised. Box and contents are in good condition. Highly recommend these wheels. Very impressed - I got a upgrade with Sapin spoke and ceramic bearings hub and approved the choice. I had to pay a fee, but I was expecting for this (US$180 to Brazil IR), but worth it!

Caught on a hard down pour - The 60mm epic wheel set still amazes me 'till this day. I was caught on a hard down pour in a 30 mile group ride (I mean cats and dog type of rain) and the wheel performed very well on the descends. It had no problem whatsoever from stopping or slowing down. They're great wheels. I have been passing down information to those curious riders about the epic wheels.

Very happy with my Epic - Very happy with my Epic 60-88-Carbon Clincher Wheelset with 240 DT hubs + Sapim spokes. Wheels very stiff, nice looking, spin very fast.
Delivery took 3 weeks.
Before I had Fulcrum Red Wind XLR 80mm Wheelset. After the crash accident decided to order from TOKYOWHEEL and still happy with the decision.
Additional made order and receive my second TOKYOWHEEL set Epic 38-50-Carbon Clincher Wheelset with the disc hubs for my wife bike.
Delivery for the second parcel took 3 weeks but parcel stuck in the custom terminal. Had to pay tax for the parcel with James agreement and got refund 110% on next day from the TOKYOWHEEL.
Still need to test from my wife but again-nice and professional product.

Speed improved! - Great wheels, my speed has improved notably. Riding directly against the wind is now much less of a hassle. Furthermore, they look great! Back wheels needs a little truing now after the first month which is the reason for 4 stars, not 5.

High Quality product / High Quality Service - It took me over 2 months to be in a position to have a sincere and robust view about my recently purchased Epic 60 Carbon (clincher) wheels. In fact, I wanted to test them in various conditions, from moistly spring mornings to common summer heatwaves in Greece. From the absolute wind calm to the recent 8 Beaufort.
The set is fantastic, although I have to admit that I would have choosen the 38-50 set due to the windy conditions in my area. I can strongly assure that these wheels have not only a better performance compared to brands with the triple value – at least a decent and remarkable behavior. I have to admit that these were my first carbon wheels, but I had the opportunity to let other friends (already carbon owners) to test them and give me their view. We all admitted that the product is awesome and at an extraordinary price.
I have also to mark, James professional standing. This not about flattering somebody and convince you that the product is worth-it-to be bought. I have to outline that although I had made the purchase and the wheels had been shipped, James was generous enough to give me a discount, when I received a after-sales voucher regarding a promotion.

First timer with carbon wheels - I was really doubtful about the wheel set, because it was my first and because of the brand. After I install them on my tri bike, I was still skeptical since I notice they were not balanced. But when I rode it, it was so amazing, perfect ride, very smooth and fast, still struggling a bit with cross winds, but that's my fault, not the wheels.
Really happy with the product. I will have to try another brand to compare and judge about the price, cause these are really low price for carbon.

Excellent wheels - i got the 88 for the rear and the 66 for the front. I really can't believe how smoothly they roll. Easily faster than my Mavic cosmic's. Great information, Great Service, Great Wheels - Recieve wheels 2 weeks ago & got admiring looks from shop who fitted them & also my ride buddies. So far 2 have shown interest in the rims. Very Happy with new Carbon Wheels from Tokyo Wheels - received my wheels quickly, well packaged, including everything I needed including 2 sets of brake pads. After installing, went out for a 100 mile test ride around Northern Tokyo area. Completely satisfied. They look awesome on my bike. The braking is comparable to my aluminum wheels.

Don't wait any longer!!!!!!! - i purchased the epic 60 carbon clincher wheel set with ceramic bearings. The wheels arrived in perfect condition. I rode the wheels the next day. I can say the wheels are worth every penny. Super smooth and fast. The wheels spin up very quickly and soak up a lot of vibration from the road. I rode in windy conditions and was able to keep a straight line. The wheels are awesome. I don't know why I waited so long. I waited a little over a year before I purchased the wheels. Don't make my mistake GET YOUR WHEELS!!!!!!! You won't be sorry.

Feeling of the EPIC 60 - I have tried two short rides on the flat only upon fitting my bike. Distance was around 50km. My initial feeling was very good. The rolling speed was enhanced. I will try up and down hill this weekend and would post my comment in due course.

An Epic experience - its nice to move up in the world of cycling. Anyone who has put in a few year at midlife age is likely to start over... Once you feel you can get rid of the training wheels it's a good time to move up. For me, it was the Epic wheels that created an instant 10% plus advantage. Even at 105kg (230 pounds) they are solid and stiff, even during a sprint. All in all, happy to have made the decision. Already ordered a second set for my old bike...

Upgrade your wheels = upgrade your bike! - These wheels are really a great upgrade! I went for the 60 to favor the aero side of the bike while fearing a bit the weight increase and the wind sensitivity. Got the first one (aero part) in a very tangible fashion -top speed increased and hold at max on a longer period of time- without getting the downside of the weight increase and the side wind. This is very surprising as this "U" shape rims are much less sensitive than less deep "V" shape ones... I took also the ceramic upgrade ofthe Tokyowheels hubs and I love the smoothness and the clear sound they make when free wheeling. If you force me to give you a non positive point...well I would probably speak about the quick release skewers which are light and a bit difficult to tighten... Not a deal breaker at all!

Epic 60 Carbon Clincher speedsters - I recently purchased a set of Epic 60's for my bike and added the ceramic hubs to complete the package.
there was some delay in receiving the wheels but then I live in Dubai and this is often the case with items shipped from overseas.
So I got my new wheels and and fitted them with tyres and a a cassette that has a slightly more aggressive top gear than the one on my original rear wheel.
My expectations were that I would notice some drop in times on my laps around a particular track that I frequent. however the difference was apparent as soon as I got out and up to speed. The wheels glide well and I felt that I could freewheel into the wind. I'm not sure whether the wheels or the hubs make more difference but either way I'm not changing it. I like the improvement to my times and I like that I can feel the difference.
The only improvement I would ask for is that Tokyowheel looks at offering tyres and tubes to go with the wheels. They could look at offering a range of cassettes too.

On time and in perfect condition - Wheelset arrived on time and in perfect condition. Rode first ride with 25c Conti 4000 gp II. Wow!! Amazed at how well they soak up road vibrations and are faster and more confortable than my 50mm Vision tubulars!! Weather has been bad in the Northeast the last week but look forward to putting more miles on these.

Epic 60-88 CC Review - Recently purchased my first set of carbon clinchers - Epic 60-88. As this is my 1st set of deep rimmed, carbon wheel sets I don't have a lot to go off apart from general feel.
- Overall: Very happy with price range and performance.
- Company communication before and after purchase - Great
- Delivery of Product - on time as scheduled
- Follow Up - Good Follow up
- Head Wind - Improvement. Holding speed upon hitting head winds
- Cross Winds - Poor, can easily push off course without notice in medium cross winds. I guess this it to be expected with a 60mm front wheel.
- Acceleration - Improvement, Awesome Accel coming from starting speed or coming out of corners.
- Constant Speed - Improvement, holding higher speeds for longer with less energy output
- Flats - Improvement, reaching higher speeds and holding
- Hills - No Improvement, Only greater leg power will cheat Hills
- Front Brakes - No improvement, Same as alloy
- Rear Brake - Poor, 55/65% decrease in brake power. Definitely don't want to be relying on the rear brakes for coming to a stop
- Durability - Still Running true.

Having trouble " Carbon brake pad " BMC TM02 - Hi, my name Jovial currently using BMC bIKE TM02, i love this bike so much, it's giving me a good result in my triathlon and cycling events.
Why i choose Tokyowheel Brand for my bike?
First, I like the combination match ex: Carbon Clincher 60-88, others brand difficult to get this combination, And Tokyowheel Price are reasonable, get some feedback from my friends this wheels made from China, Not from Japan. For me is doesn't matter made from which country, as long as this is worth to use.
I'm used 60-88 carbon clincher for twice,
First ride was 75km, my experience is feeling a bit different, stiff and hard compare low profile wheels, especially in climbing hill using rear 88. In downhill, i can feel the crosswind in my front wheel 60, when i going downhill speed 40-50 'shaking'
Second ride was 95km, feeling awesome. this time i go for hills training also. first 10km rolling smooth and easy ride 30-35 speed, then attack the 10km uphill feeling very smooth, after that is 13km down hill, this wheel show good performance in cornering very stable, just need aware the crosswind but once i using my rear brake " i was feeling shaking like ABS....:(
Why this happening?
This is the problem, I'm using BMC TM02 Time Trial Bike, bike mechanic after installed the carbon brake pad, he can't put in the rear wheel size 25mm width at the tire mount and braking surface, even he did the maximum adjustment range from my rear brake caliper also cannot fix in, until he need do some shaving the brake pad. i believe after mechanic shaving in not equal, it effect the brake system 'SHAKING LIKE ABS' when i using rear brake.
So i Planing to install a new brake pad, Any recommend 'Thin brake pad' especially for my BMC TM02?
Did research the YellowKing, but not sure ths size.
Need to know what size (thickness) brake pad i should use for BMC bike.
Or Anyone can sharing your experience to me? Thanks

Loose Spokes - I am having problems with spokes coming loose and wheel out of true. After 200 miles I noticed the rear wheel was out of true. I use a spoke tension meter on the non drive side of the rear wheel, all spokes were loose with zero tension. I email your customer service for the correct spoke tension and never received a reply. I ended up truing the wheel making sure the tension on the non drive side spokes were equal. Checked the wheel after another 200 miles and it's out of true again. The front wheel is perfect. Only issues with the rear wheel.
