unhappy customer.. - I ordered these wheels about a month ago now and they still have not arrived..was looking forward to having them for my new bike. The servive started off well but now i dont seem to get responses to emails. I guess its now a waiting game.
Unhappy buyer.

I'm really happy. - I'm really happy. Wheels look great, spin well, responsive and light. Sound good to on the freewheel.
Great value I think. My original wheels are Fulcrum 1's, they are really good but these are better.
I've been recommending them.
Jon Wagner
The wheels are phenomenal - - solidly true, resistant to all the imperfections of the roads I ride (some of which are pretty bad - potholes, cracks, etc.) without a single problem. My bike is nearly effortless since I put the new wheels on. I'm totally and completely satisfied with them and your exemplary service.

Glad I took the gamble - Just letting u know I got wheels today and took them for a roll. After one ride they feel awsome, didnt go all out but hard enough to see that they are respinsive and roll amazingly. Glad I took the gamble already looking at buying the corresponding wheels 50 back n 60 front over the coming months. Put picture up today though of them on my fuji will also post on my giant. Thanks again for the service there is a fair chance u will get some more business from some of the boys I ride with. A few seen them today and are asking questions already. Cant wait to race on them.

I have a set and like them very much - I have a set and like them very much. I also have Zipp 202 firecrest and 303s but wanted a cheaper wheel for daily trainers. I typically ride Zipp 101s for training but honestly I just got tired of changing brake pads between the different sets so I searched for a cheaper alternative. I posted a youtube review with some data from the rear wheel with width measurements of the braking surface taken with a micrometer at 21 positions around the wheel; you draw your own conclusions. I will measure the front wheel this weekend and post that data on youtube too. I have weight and spoke tension data if anyone is interested. I have the clincher 50 mm deep wheels and so far I've beat them up pretty good on somewhat rough country roads and I'm happy. Am I a little concerned about a CC clincher that is manufactured in China? Sure I am but given the price of what I had with DT Swiss 240 hubs and Sapim CX-ray spokes I'm happy enough. Trust me, if I experience a failure that I perceive as a manufacturing defect I will make it known. I will say that the first set of wheels I received had a slight problem and I contacted Tokyowheel and returned them. After the wheels were released from customs my account was credited but then I decided to try again and I'm pleased. Here is my $0.02. Are the wheels worth it? Are they as good as my Zipps or your most favorite brand? I don't know. Have they done all the research that the big companies have done; probably not but why don't you just ask? Sure you can buy cheaper carbon wheels and you can certainly buy more expensive wheels and maybe they are or aren't any better but to me the customer service I've received has been outstanding and I wasn't looking to spend >$2700 for yet another set of wheels. I wanted a less expensive wheel for training Oh, by the way my Zipp 101s are for sale if anyone is interested.

Epic combination - Recently purchased Epic 50-60 clincher wheelset. I have only had a couple of rides on them so far but they certainly have impressed. They certainly roll well and are very responsive. I also own a pair of zipp 60mm clinchers which WERE. my race wheels but no longer the case as my new Tokyowheel Epics are lighter faster and look pretty cool as well.
Thanks to James for your help in the purchase of these wheels.
Will be buying another set soon.
Fred F.
50-60 clinchers - Got them a week ago. Took 13 working days to get to me. Don't know what was the delay but glad to receive them. The brakes and valve extenders that came with the wheels is quite disappointing and needs to be replaced. That a side the wheels are stiff and strong. Gain about 10-15% in performance. Also I would like to thank James on his advice. Overall score I would give it 7 out of 10.
Jean-pierre V.
delivery took about 3weeks to Belgium.Labels on the wheels are stickers and not varnished. Wheels seems ok after 500km ride. - delivery took about 3weeks to Belgium.Labels on the wheels are stickers and not varnished. Wheels seems ok after 500km ride.

Just in time for the Weekend's Race - I Received the wheels just in time for the Weekend's Race. Thank you very much!
The new wheels with DT Hubs WAS really good, and I put on a pair of Veloflex tires. Combination The WAS really good rolling speed!!
Challenging wind conditions and a 150 Stage WAS a good test for the wheels, and we ended up with a 3H.53M time.

I received my epic50-60 in perfect order - I received my epic50-60 in perfect order, no damage at all during the long trip to Canada. Wheels look great, spin extremely well (got the DTSwiss Hubs), perform well on climbs, and are very fast on flats....noticeably easier to maintain pace at higher speeds than previous wheel set. My riding friends say I am faster. Was a delay in shipping due to back order of Sapim straight spokes but James kept me in the loop the whole time. I could have chosen immediate delivery with other spokes but chose to wait. Overall I am very happy with purchase. Thanks Tokyowheel!
Steven S.
fast and light - Really happy with my Epic 50s. Really fast and stable on downhills and good braking performance. Great value wheels!
Abdul
Epic 50/60 - Wheels are indeed very fierce looking! I'm impressed with handling and aero aspects! I'm not too crazy about the skewers though. But overall, satisfied.
PS-shipping box was pretty crunched up but luckily no damage to the wheels. Please put some'Fragile' stickers on shipping box as what DHL guy told me.
Mads C.
Great wheel - to a grat price. Super customer service.
KAM L.
Just great Wheelset! - Was totally surprised by the quality of the wheels. The DT SWISS upgrade was awesome. The response & stiffness was there. No regrets.

In the wind - Just finished a 175 km ride today on the wheels with the wind coming from every direction and the wheels are absolutely brilliant. Definitely worth the investiment
Benjamin C.
Comfy Epic 50 - ride is extremely comfortable. Easy on the legs, smoothing and increased constant speed. More refreshing after a long ride
Quyet N.
50-60 Epic+Ceramic Vapor - I'm very happy with this 50-60 Epic wheelset. I have put in over 400 miles since I receive this set til now. I'm surprise how light this wheelset is, Definitely lighter then my Zipp 404 Firecrest, Very smooth rolling.
Performance have pick up big time.
Customer Service is superb, James have been very helpful with get the wheelset to me a day b4 my Palm Springs Century, Thank you. No doubt will get a couple more set.
Darren Q.
50mm Carbon Crackers - Hi All, I bought my carbon clinchers from Tokyo wheel and so far everything is going great, the wheels are light and run very smooth. With ultegra 11spd cassette and schwalbe durano tyres I've shaved 300 grams off the weight of my bike.
Louis S.
My Epic 50/60 - I just mounted a pair of 25c Contis on the Epics, and hope to ride them this weekend. These wheels arrived well packed and are beautiful. The silver decals will look great on my Moots RSL. This is a great product and value. Thanks
Paulo B.
great wheelset - Just started using 2 weeks ago, the wheelset is amazing it glides especially on the asphalt. It feels stiff and very smooth.I appreciate the effects of aero especially on flats it add more mph in your ride. It sharpens my spinning skills. It really nice especially during long ride Less body aches. Its worth it.
Matthew B.
Impressed - These is my first carbon wheel-set purchase. The whole process from start to finish has been simple, informative and the final product is excellent. Plus the wheels look great on my bike. Happy customer
Mario P.
Epic 50-60 wheels - The wheels are great and perform very well. The only hint that I can give is to check how much your brakes opens. The wheels are very wide (which is a good thing) and can give not enough space between the brake-pad and the wheel.
Simon A.
Epic 50 - Carbon Clincher - My first set of full carbon wheels and I am blown away by the performance! I upgraded the hubs to DT Swiss 240s and the wheels just want to roll for fun! So far I couldn't be happier....thank you Tokyo Wheels!
Frans z.
EPIC-50 - AWESOME
Antonio L.
Light, strong, reliable and eye catching - I've been riding these wheels for a little while now, I could sincerely say that some name brand wheels priced two or three times higher, would not fair much better in my opinion. For the price, the quality of the wheels and even the nice look, they are worth far more. Try them, you won't regret it
Martin M.
Awesome - Got the wheels just in time for a race. They are fast, handels very good and the braking was excellent. I can recommend it to all.
LA H.
Good enought with reasonable price of wheelset - Light weight wheelset and feel " not much impact by strong windy weather" to my riding, speedy anf stably.
Michael B.
First Class Product from First Class Company - My son Khary introduced me to this company having himself bought a Tokyowheel wheelset before. I was a little sceptical at first but my experience with Tokyowheel has been first class throughout. The customer service experience has been good from order to delivery and beyond. James and Kane have been of tremendous help all the way. They have delivered on all their promises and have won in me a solid and loyal customer. The wheels are top class and I would without hesitation recommend them to anyone as true value for money. No cheap hype.
Samuel G.
Have not got it - Look forward for it to arrive.
Rob B.
Wheels And Service You Can Trust - In the UK there is a stigma about buying “cheap” carbon wheels from the far east so I first viewed Tokyo Wheels with a little suspicion - however once I had read the detailed website and reviews I decided to give them a try. The wheels were delivered
in 10 days but during that time a steady stream of communications kept me updated. On arrival I had to pay import tax but with a quick picture of the receipt sent to Tokyo Wheels I was refunded 110% the same day. The wheels are good quality, ride well. If Zipp's are beyond your budget these are well worth considering.
Richard G.
First real test in the - First real test in the Adelaide hills whilst following the tour down under. They are fast. Great up hill, even better down!
SOON L.
Very good carbon clincher wheelset! - Stiff and well build. Love it when ride with them. I should upgrade to ceramic bearing hub to get even better and smoother ride.
Helgi H.
Pleased. - I bought the wheelset – Epic 50-50 clincher – a few weeks before Christmas, when Tokyowheel had a sale. I chose the Lighter Ceramic Upgrade, but the prize still landed at just below 1100 USD. By comparison, below is what you need to pay for high-end clincher wheelsets in store here in Stockholm as of January 2016:
• Bontrager Aeolus 5 D3 – 2.583 USD.
• Enve Smart 4,5 – 3.065 USD.
• Shimano Dura-Ace 9000 C50 – 1.726 USD (carbon/alu).
• Zipp 404 – 2.349 (sale!).
The Swedish authorities are a bit stiff; very much by the book and flexibility is seldom an option. It turned out impossible to clear the wheel through customs without paying extra fees, as I was buying from outside the EU. The extra cost was 320 USD, and as promised Tokyowheel immediately refunded that 110%! I must admit that I was thankful and amazed at the same time! Make note that even WITH the extra fees, the total sum is LESS than that for the cheapest wheelset in the list above!
It´s winter with snow and ice and frost in Stockholm and I probably won´t be able to take the wheels for a spin until late March or early April. I intend to use 25 mm tyres. The bike I´ll put them on is a Cannondale SuperSix Evo with SRAM Red 22.
I´ll send pictures later.
Regards, Helgi (Stockholm).

Exceptional Service - I was Excited when I ordered, I was even more excited when I was told they shipped, and now seriously excited I'm now riding on them - end to end service exceptional !
James F.
Epic 50 Carbon Clincher Wheelset - I purchased the Epic 50 carbon clincher wheelset with standard hubs and spokes. I now have a few rides in and am very impressed. I have had wheelsets from major wheel brands and they do not even come close to the same quality as Tokyo wheel. When riding, the wheels speed up and keep that speed throughout. The bike took on a different personality. The bike looks awesome with the wheels and rides very smooth. With a wider width,
the wheels are very aero and absorb road imperfections well. The buying experience is effortless with great customer service from Tokyo wheel. Would I buy again? In a heart beat, I would.

Good wheels set - I'm very happy with the wheels they are fast and keep the pace, no hard effect with the cross wind. The only problem was with one spokes because the nipples broke but the people of TokyoWheel respond very fast and paid for the repair in my local bike shop.
Helgi H.
Stockholm, Sweden. - I purchased the wheels when Tokyowheel hade a sale, a few weeks before Christmas. Chose the “Lighter Ceramic Upgrade”, but the prize still landed at just below 1100 USD. By comparison here are examples on what I would have to pay for such high-end aero wheelsets in store in Stockholm in January 2016:
· Bontrager Aeolus 5 D3 – 2.583 USD.
· Enve Smart 4,5 – 3.065 USD.
· Shimano Dura-Ace 9000 C50 – 1.726 USD (carbon/alu).
· Zipp 404 – 2.349 (sale!).
I assume my new wheels are compatible to those quality-wise.
The Swedish authorities are a bit stiff; very much by the book and flexibility is seldom an option. It turned out impossible to clear the wheels through customs without paying taxes. I was charged 320 USD, which is quite a sum. I paid it and as promised Tokyowheel refunded the extra cost 110%! I was both amazed and thankful, at the same time. Notice that even WITH the extra fees, the wheelset is cheaper than Shimano – the cheapest on the list above!
Anyway, it´s winter in Stockholm and I won´t be able to take them for a spin for two or three months. Bu they look fabulous, have a great finish. Nothing was missing and everything was neatly packaged.
I intend to ride them with 25 mm tires. Only thing missing now is a new cassette! The bike they´ll be on is a Cannondale SuperSix Evo with SRAM Red 22.
I´ll send in photos later.
Best regards, Helgi (Stockholm).
ORLANDO G.
Amaizing - It took approximately 2 years in the sport of cycling and had previously used Reynolds and Zip and currently have the Tokyo 50mm clincher coal and honestly did not notice a difference. rings are tremendous and very durable and best of all is its price which is half or less than other brands
Noel D.
Epic 50 Clincher - My first impressions were that the decals were not good quality and the quick release skewers could also be improved. The bearings run very smooth. On the road they run very well, very fast and no issues in crosswinds. They came with Tokyo Wheels stock blue brake pads, braking was much better than I expected even in the wet. I toed in the brake pads as recommended and have had no squeaking from the pads.
Willy R.
Great bike wheelset - The wheels are very light, fast and aerodynamic!the 50-60 mm combo is an all purpose wheelset, great on flats and descent, good on the climbs. I just tested mine recently and all I can say is it's fantastic and fun to have during bike events/race day. It's an excellent upgrade to your OE equipment if your planning to upgrade your wheelset.
RIGO B.
Great wheels - Great wheels
Stinson R.
so far so great - 3 rides so far on the 50-60s, feel solid and fast, love them so far!
Mike R.
Great Customer Service - Hi All, I always judge a company by its customer service, and I have to say dispite the time zones/ geographical differences Tokyowheel guys were always "on the ball".
The wheels did take a few weeks to appear but great when they did, rolling lovely! small issue with slight dishing correction was fixed locally (refunded). Hubs sound unique but fine! I had the disc brake version which required new disc rotors as my original Shimano's mounted differently.
All in all, super light & great value,
Cheers
Mike

Customer Service - I love my new Wheelset they're everything I expected them to be. The only problem I'm having is the decals are starting to peel off a little bit. You'll need to be very careful when cleaning them. I'm most happy with the customer service when my rims arrived and had them installed I took it for a ride and heard a pinging sound coming from the rear hub. I contacted Tokyo wheel and they went out of there way to help resolve the problem. I took to my LBS to find out what the problem was. It turned out to be a bad bearing in the free hub. Tokyo sent a new hub and paid for all repairs needed. Life is good now. These are well worth the $ The only reason I didn't give them a 5 is because of the decals I'm thinking I'm going to have to remove them sooner or later.
Les A.
Good value for the price but... - Front hub not substantial enough and decals started to peel off after 3 weeks in the Texas heat...
Anthony B.
Epic 50 - carbon Clincher - Wheelset - Since putting these wheels on my bike and teamed up with continental tubes and tyres as your website suggests, it has propelled me into a new level of cycling I was struggling to attain. Holding higher speed over longer distances and climbing hills is now more comfortable with less effort compared to my alloy rims. I cant wait to ride my bike again and push myself further. So far they have been a very impressive upgrade for me and has completely changed the asthetics and overall ride of my bike. Love them and hope they give me many years of trouble free service and performance.
Jean D.
Great again! - I bought two years ago a pair of Epic 60. Since I am very satisfied with them, I went naturally again for Tokyowheel. Since I wanted something lighter for more hilly countryside, I went for the Epic 38 in front and 50 at rear. Same great satisfaction! A real pleasure! Light and snappy! Same silky bearings.
Thanks also for the first class service related to my order!
Tim S.
Fantastic Wheels - Fantastic wheels. So true, light and strong. Well balanced and roll forever. Thanks.
SYLVESTER P.
Insane - Was that a hill? I was very excited when wheels arrived. Took a long time but, I upgrade the hub and spokes. You can't rush perfection. I put Michelin pro4 Endurance 700x25c tires on wheels and hit the road HARD. The first ride I was not convinced that I spent my money in right place. WRong! These wheels are insane. I'm 4 mph faster and can get up to 6 mph but not consistently. Already thinking about my next set of wheels. Not cheap but, worth every penny.
Jermaine B.
I love the weight of - I love the weight of them seems like they never stop spinning .. Grrat buy
Andy L.
Epic 50 - Excellent wheel! Hub laser engraved Tokyowheel a must thank you
Jay
Jay in Houston - Luv the wheels... took a bit to get them adjusted w my frame. But... they are light- spin up quick, and when up to speed are great to keep pace!!! Nice!!!!
Calvin B.
Great set - Thank you for the wheels that were sent, they are just what I was looking for. Great quality you can tell time was taken to produce this set of wheels
Peter L.
Carbon Clincher rim - Great rim and fantastic wheels for the price. Comparable wheels with other more expensive 'name' brands. Highly recommended.
Edward R.
Excellent wheels - I am blown away by the epic clincher wheels, I have the 50mm deep set and they are lighter and stiffer than anything i have used while still being affordable. Manufacture and shipping take a little while but if the product arrives with good quality control then I'm fine with that!! Will be buying more sets in the future and maybe see if they want a Dubai dealer or Representative to get the word out about these great wheels!!
Austin S.
TOKOYOWHEEL SUPREME - Tokoyowheel includes a service that surpasses that of any other company that I have dealt with including most major brands. I was kept updated with the order progress every step of the way. My wheels were shipped to me in record breaking time for South Africa because most expedited orders take extremely long time in our country. I was refunded all shipping and import tariffs and taxes with no issues or questions at all.
The wheels themselves are made extremely well. They are as light as most other brands in their category including more expensive wheels such as Zipp and Envy wheels. However in my opinion the ability to custom select spokes and hub push the Tokyowheel brand above most other wheels in their class. I have used AX Lighness, Zipp, Mavic and Easton wheels and I can honestly say that Tokyowheels are far better. I still have generation 1 Tokyowheels that have never given me a day trouble. I highly recommend the brand.
If I could offer one point of criticism it would be that a nice set of wheel bags would be great! However they do offer other very nice extras such as Swiss stop carbon brake pads, spare spokes and a custom spray paint.
Patrick S.
EPIC 50 rim brake rear rim - Build a rear wheel with the rim. So far so good. No issue with 2012 Giant TCR frame although the rim is wider and was was concerned about the clearance at the chain stays.
Philip G.
50mm Carbon Clinchers - Had these rims sent a few weeks ago & had them built up with my DT Swiss 180 hubs. The wheels are awesome. Great customer service & I was always kept informed about my order progress.
Richard B.
Don’t know - I am in Mexico, the wheels are in Canada, I’m trying to get a tubeless package so I can ride them when I get home before the weather turns to rain and snow
Massart r.
Epic 50 - stuck at customs with clearance fees not yet known
tyrell b.
Epic 50s - These are a legit set of hoops at this price point. Don't know why people spend so much on hoops. After this set I won't do it. I put these hoops on my 2018 Trek Emonda SL6. The ride was already smooth with my stock wheels, the ride is even better now. The reason I gave them a 4 vs a 5 is because of the stickers on the wheels and the ends of the skewers. The stickers could be a little thinner and the skewers could be a little more refined on the ends. But other than those two things I would definitely suggest these wheels. If I had to some them up with one word, it would be Velvet.:v:
Jay S.
Excellent Value - 2 parts to this review.
Service: The service has been exceptional. Email communication and prompt responses were Excellent.
Wheels: Superb Quality. Very light and strong. Look great too. Why spend 1000's more on other brands when the quality and end product is better than high end brands.
Raúl F.
Make a lot noise - Make a lot noise

Great part for great wheel - Hi there, recently bought a 20h epic 50 rim for building a nicely light, aerodynamic and still tough (laced 1x hi) front wheel. I’ve not started the build yet, but the base material looks just fine :-)
Jose F.
Wheeelset hasn’t arrived so nothing - Wheeelset hasn’t arrived so nothing to review. Still waiting. 1 month +.
Jean D.
Very happy with my third pair of wheels - Nothing to say, just close to perfection in every aspect of the utilization!
The only point is the quick release. Supplying a DT Swiss quick release skewer should be automatic when buying a DT Swiss hub I reckon. The supplied sewer is very light but I found them too light personally. I do not mind some extra gram to get a bullet proof attaching device.
John M.
So far so great!!!!! - I was hesitant to buy wheels online at first however James and Kane were very good at educating me on what to look for in wheels as well as what to expect. It took roughly 3 weeks to receive the wheels. They were shipped very securely and true right out of the box. At this point I only have about 100 miles on them but my speed has definitely increased. I truly do not have anything bad to report and would highly recommend Tokyo Wheels.
Best Regards
Megumi D.
満足してます - 回転、質感、軽さいずれも満足です。付属のクイックレバーは使用できませんでした
Viktor U.
Супер, очень рекомендую! - Колесо отличное все пришло в хорошем состоянии и смотрится круто! Рекомендую! Жду 2 колесо и выложу в сборе :)
Frank
Nice wheels, Just arrived - My order from beginning of dec. 21 of a set of Epic 50 just arrived. It took 1 month of producing and sending from Tokyowheels new factory in Thailand to me in Germany, during Holiday season - Not so bad. The box came via DHL Express, who also care for the customs, nowadays digitally. - ALL extra costs we're refunded by Tokyowheel right after sending them the receipt.
The wheels seem to be of very good quality and had everything required included:
A distance ring on the hub (Not required for my Ultegra 11), quick release skewers, valve extensions, even carbon brake pads.
I'm really happy with the service, too - James (head of the company) answered personally all questions via e-mail, without delay.
