Have just placed an order for a pair of epic 5.6 wheel set, will update and do a review after testing it out. Had send a few emails out to the customer service and not all of the emails has been replied yet.

Can't beat the price and the wheels feel great on the first few rides. Also, especially given the pandemic impacting the global economy and supply chains, the customer service was fantastic. I had great communication throughout. I will be a return customer.

I’ll start with the bad. I ordered my 5.6 disc wheels in February and got stuck waiting for ages. Global pandemic, shipping from Asia was a mess. On to the good, tubeless setup is a breeze! I mean easy. No tricks needed, I think that shows these wheels are made with tight tolerances. Weight on these was ~1 gram less than expected. I also have a set of Tokyowheels 60mm tubulars which were perfect until I got a disc brake race bike. So far I’ve been impressed with the 5.6s they are very polite in most wind situations. They lightened the bike a bit over the alloy hoops I’d been on. The look the absolute business.

Ok, I have ridden about 400k's so far and the wheels have impressed me with their smooth ride, this together with the Bianchi carbon frame makes for a great combination. I purchased the EPIC 3.4 - Carbon Clincher - Wheelset, and have Continental tyres 25 and 28mm f&r. Thanks again. Regards Peter

Ordered and received my wheels 10 days later which was good as it was over New Year’s. Very happy with the wheels as they run straight and are a huge improvement from ali rims. Overall handling and breaking is good. Super happy with this upgrade.

I was incredibly impressed at the quality of these wheels, and the customer service related to buying them was great. I'd recommend this company to anyone.

The weight is 102g more the the specification, so my 3.4 disc with Vapor hubs is 1750 g. I have not tryed them on the road yet, so can not comment on how they roll. Communication has been super, allways fast answer. Packing also fine.

Preety much worn out my gen 1 epic 4.5's after 18-20k kms brake tracks are a bit worn. Still good as a spare set. Liking the 5.6's bit stiffer and with ceramic bearings seam to ride easyer fot the same power. Getting PR's on most rides (strava) even though I unfit right now. Cant falt the wheel set or the service and communication from Tokyo through shipping. Surprised they turned up so soon even through Christmass.

Excellent replaced a free wheel on a sey of 4,5 epics that I have had for 3-4 years 18.000 ish k's on them. They have been through a couple of winters andthe 6 months unused (back injery so no riding) it was a bit stiff when riding resumed but can right ish. Just bought new 5.6 epices and a spare free hub for the old wheels. For the price these are bloody good wheels.

One regret, I should've ordered a set! I wanted a climbing set, already had a rear by another famous brand, from a trade, so I setup both with Conti GP5000s; contrary to rear the tire went on Epic bare handed! And settled once pumped to 100psi, with bike on stand it spun long time! On first ride, bike wasn't affected by crosswinds like my 50s and felt sure going fast thru turns. Now I'm thinking about matching rear! Or maybe another set of 50s you can't have too many wheels!

Just to be short, I see TokyoWheels in my cycling community and got good feedback, so then i try to find out website and then asked lots of Q's from Kane, James .... and then i decided to buy. I bough it during holiday season, so it took almost a month to reach me. Then Customs call be to pay Duty and then i paid them and sent email to Support , and get 110% refund. Then I took my wheels to LBS for cassette removal from my old to new wheels . Then i install tyres and tubes my self and hurrah!. Installing front tyre was was easy as butter , but for back wheel i have to remove some washers from brake pads(so i decided not to rub), since default pads are little beefy. Here in pakistan, winter season is up , so i only did just 3 rides, and i found them good in terms of speed... definite speed gains ... One thing that i think needs to address is , we need to know what size of valve inner tube required that will balance with wheels ? since weight balancers are there to equals the valve weight. In my experience , i think for 55mm front wheel , we should go for 40mm Valve plus Extender, for 65mm back wheel, we can try 48mm with extender or either directly go for 80mm ... but long valve inner tubes are expensive. so overhaul a good experience.

I have been riding on my new Epic 5.6's with Sapim CX Ray spokes so far for about a month. So far they have been great! A couple things I will note about them: - Seem MUCH faster than my old aluminum rims - When riding, the wheels make a slight sound similar to an ambulance, Doesn't bother me at all, but just figured I would note that. It could be the valve stem extender - The wheels do flex a little bit side to side. I was worried that in a races they may flex some and come in contact with rim brakes, thus costing me speed, so I backed off my rim brakes a bit just to make sure. This is with the Sapim spokes also, just FYI. - The wheels had no problems working with Latex tubes. No carbon spikes or defects to effect the tubes. Like I said, overall I am still very happy with these wheels, and I will look forward to purchasing a set for the next bike I build also. Highly recommend.

I have received my wheels within 20 days in USA as promised and the wheels have a great look and definitely improved my riding performance specially against wind and during cornering re- acceleration. I’d recommend Tokyo team to look into the Titanium quick release design, unfortunately I had one of my quick releases damaged on the very first use. They are very fragile and not very easy to handle.

I was hesitant to buy wheels online at first however James and Kane were very good at educating me on what to look for in wheels as well as what to expect.  It took roughly 3 weeks to receive the wheels.  They were shipped very securely and true right out of the box.  At this point I only have about 100 miles on them but my speed has definitely increased.  I truly do not have anything bad to report and would highly recommend Tokyo Wheels.  Best Regards
